The 2023 IEEE Automatic Speech Recognition and Understanding Workshop (ASRU 2023) will be held in Taipei, Taiwan on 16-20 December 2023. The ASRU Workshop is a flagship event of IEEE Speech and Language Processing Technical Committee. The workshop will feature invited talks/keynotes, regular papers, and special sessions. All papers will be presented as posters. A full social program will provide ample opportunities for discussion, including tutorial, welcome reception, banquet (regular registration)/ student party (student registration), lunches, etc.
ASRU 2023 will be a hybrid format, meaning there are both Physical and Virtual registration opportunities available. The live Physical registration rate is applicable for those attending ASRU 2023 in Taiwan. The Virtual registration rate is applicable for those attending ASRU 2023 on-line only.
Each accepted paper must be covered by at least one of its authors with full registration. All authors should register using the non-student registration fee, rather than the student registration fee. Participants paying full registration can cover a maximum of four papers.
Student fees are applicable only to full-time students. Students must provide a proof of their student status (student ID or certificate, endorsed by the signature of a supervisor), as PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG. file during the registration process. Student registration will be valid only upon receipt of the proof of status.

Tutorial
We are excited to announce that we have scheduled 4 tutorial sessions on December 16, 2023. We have parallel sessions Tutorial 1 and 2 in the morning and parallel sessions Tutorial 3 and 4 in the afternoon on December 16, 2023. All tutorials will be available for both online and on-site participants @Academia Sinica.
ASRU 2023 delegates are free to join the tutorials, and we also provide tutorial-only options. The price for each session is as follows,
